Naked Titanium
We love the soft and clean look of Raw Titanum. It’s durable, corrosion resistant and easy to spruce up.
As a standard finish, our Titanium frames are blasted with ceramic beads. This gives a deep warm satin finish. Not too shiny not to matte. Just right. The logos are a subtle brushed finish imbedded into the raw titanium for a classic naked look. For a simple livery with a bit more contrast we can also include as stock, decals in basic colour such as Red, Black, White, and a few others. Carbon forks are left raw carbon black to finish off the naked look. We love this clean aesthetic and it is included in the cost of all of our framesets.
Some Common Ti upgrade options include:
Raw titanium with custom colour logos ~$200
Raw titanium with polished logos ~$350
Raw titanium with anodized logos ~$450
Custom fork and Stem Paint single colour~$400
Painted Race Corners ~$600 (rear chain stay and front fork painted)
Half Raw Titanium with multi-colour paint ~ $900+
Of course, we can do all kinds of other special things.
Anodizing and Titanium Examples
We can achieve a range of beautiful colours when anodizing titanium, from deep blue, through violet to purple to light gold.
We’re happy to do simple, elegant geometric shapes, pin-striping and art on bicycles. We feel these touches fit with the aesthetic of our frames and other intrinsic design values. We rarely do any fine and detailed airbrushing like the kind that you see on motorcycles. It’s not one of our strengths and it tends to make the small and light tubes on our bikes feel heavy.
We can also do very clever matching of anodized colours to some of the bling that is available in our build kits and in our wheel builds. Wolf Tooth, Chris King and Industry Nine all do beautiful anodizing that we enjoy matching with paint and with our own anodizing where possible.
We can also match fork paint and colours to anodization to really make a bicycle pop. This does push your bike into Deep Custom territory and timelines.
‘Race Corners’ are when we paint one front fork leg and one side of your rear triangle. It’s a look that we’ve used frequently on our race bikes.
General paint upgrades also include:
Painted stem and/or stem plate: $100
Satin or gloss finish.
Personalized logos, text and custom artwork. I can work with artwork you provide or design for you. Cost will vary greatly depending on complexity and labour time required for both design and execution.
